Delmarva Teen Challenge
Outreach
Taking it to the Streets
At Delmarva Teen
Challenge, we believe that a person’s spiritual and mental
well-being rests, to a large extent, on his commitment to the Great
Commission of our Lord: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). The third prong of our mission
statement reads, “Equipping those who made a life-commitment to
Jesus Christ for service in his kingdom.
” Proverbs 11:30 declares, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of
life, and he who is wise wins souls”. Souls are priority. Souls
count. Many things deteriorate. The euphoria associated with drugs,
alcohol, and temporal gratification ends. Only one thing lasts, and
that is souls.
Our hope is that the students entrusted to us become givers. That
they realize God’s blessings come to those who serve others. That
they discover first hand the truth: “For whoever wishes to save his
life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the
gospel’s will save it” (Mark 8:35).
